**1. Prune in Late Winter** 

Cut canes down to about 4-5 feet. Remove weak or damaged ones.

**2. Mulch Generously** 

Blackberries love rich, moist soil. Keep weeds down with wood chips or straw.

**3. Watch for Suckers** 

Thin them out to focus energy on healthy canes.
